This summer, the world will be watching Toronto.
The global soccer tournament arriving in June–July 2026 will bring fans from around the world to our city — with matches taking place right here in Toronto and celebrations happening across different neighbourhoods. 
For our community, this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to welcome visitors, showcase the creativity of West Queen West, and celebrate the global spirit that makes our neighbourhood so special.
Toronto’s host city theme is “The World in a City” reflecting the diversity, culture, and communities that define our city. 
And here in West Queen West, we’re ready to show the world how creative, fun, and diverse our neighbourhood is!
Turning West Queen West Into a Fan Destination
During the tournament period, the West Queen West BIA will be creating a neighbourhood-wide celebration by inviting visitors and locals alike to explore our shops, restaurants, galleries, and spaces while enjoying the excitement of soccer’s biggest event.
Our goal is simple: Make West Queen West a must-visit destination for fans.
We want the energy of the tournament to flow through the entire neighbourhood — from storefront windows to patios to community spaces — creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
But we can’t do it without you.
Ways Your Business Can Participate
There are several easy ways for businesses to be part of the celebration:
1. Be featured in the WQW Fan Passport
Participating businesses will be featured in our neighbourhood loyalty program, helping fans and visitors discover local spots while encouraging them to explore more of West Queen West.
2. Display the WQW Soccer Decal & Decorate Your Windows
Show your support by placing an official WQW soccer decal in your window so fans know your business is part of the neighbourhood celebration. (We will distribute these in May)
3. Donate prizes to our neighbourhood raffle draws
We’ll be creating curated giveaways featuring products and experiences from local businesses — a great way to introduce visitors to what makes our neighbourhood unique.
4. Join the West Queen West Gift Card
Participating in the WQW Gift Card program helps visitors easily support multiple businesses while exploring the neighbourhood.
