The Lie: She Should Have Known – Phoenix Arise Foundation Fundraiser

by | May 28, 2026

On June 19, 2026 (6–10 PM), the Phoenix Arise Foundation will host its inaugural fundraising cocktail evening in Toronto:

The Lie: She Should Have Known

A 19+ event focused on dismantling victim-blaming narratives around sex trafficking and exploitation while centering survivor voices, education, and healing. The evening brings together community leaders, business owners, policymakers, advocates, and allies committed to systemic change and survivor support.

What to Expect

Guests will experience a powerful and curated evening featuring:

  • Red carpet arrival and professional photography
  • Live DJ and immersive atmosphere
  • Live painting and interactive experiences
  • Light snacks and refreshments
  • Silent and live auctions
  • Networking with community leaders and changemakers

The event is designed not only as a fundraiser, but as a space for collaboration, education, and long-term impact.

Why It Matters

At the heart of the night is a clear message:

“Survivors are not broken. They are Phoenixes. And they rise.”

Funds raised will support trauma-informed survivor services, prevention education, and community outreach programs led by the Phoenix Arise Foundation.

New Initiative: Never CakeLess

Phoenix Arise Foundation also recently launched Never CakeLess, a community initiative addressing youth who go without recognition on their birthdays or milestones.

Volunteers are invited to bake or provide cakes for young people who would otherwise go without celebration—helping ensure every youth feels seen, valued, and supported.

Get Involved

Together, these initiatives are building awareness, dignity, and real-world support for survivors and vulnerable youth across Toronto.
