Paul Petro Contemporary Art presents Yesterday’s news, remembered today, a solo exhibition by Stephen Andrews, one of Toronto’s most recognized contemporary artists. Andrews is known for a labour-intensive drawing practice that often pulls from mass media imagery and collective memory, transforming what we consume quickly into something slower, tactile, and emotionally charged.
This new body of work continues Andrews’ long-standing interest in how images circulate, how they stay with us, and how the “news” becomes personal over time. His work is held in major public and private collections, and his career includes significant exhibitions and critical recognition in Canada and beyond.
Dates: March 27 to April 25, 2026
Location: Paul Petro Contemporary Art, 980 Queen Street West, Toronto (West Queen West)
