Invitation to join a focus group on supervised injection service at Queen West — CTCHC
by Rob Sysak, April 26, 2016Dear members of the West Queen West business community,
We invite you to join a focus group for local businesses about the plan to add a small-scale supervised injection service to the existing clinical health and harm reduction services at Queen West — Central Toronto Community process, and we want to make sure the needs and concerns of local businesses are heard.
Here’s what will happen at this focus group:
- A staff member from Queen West CTCHC will make a shot presentation and answer questions.
- Third-party facilitators will lead a discussion and record your feedback. We will ask for your concrete suggestions for ensuring benefits to the neighbourhood and addressing any concerns you might have.
- Your input will be documented and submitted to the City, provincial, and federal governments for them to review as they make decisions about providing support, authorization, and funding for this supervised injection service.
We urge you to participate in this focus group. Your feedback will shape how the supervised injection service is implemented at Queen West CTCHC.
The discussion will take place on Wednesday, May 4th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Queen West CTCHC (168 Bathurst). Dinner will be provided.
Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to participate or have any questions, please contact Caitlin Myles by phone or email: [email protected], 647-678-3460.
If you can’t join the focus group, please consider coming out to an open house at Queen West CTCHC on April 27th, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can also participate by completing a detailed survey online: www.toronto-sis.ca.
