Up Down Strange | David Griffin
David Griffin’s new drawings continue his long fascination with geometry as a generative and expansive form of thinking. His works combine ink, crayon, pencil and acrylic, overloading the surface with energy and organic forms — water flowing, coils spiraling, fire flickering, and natural growth. These geometric structures evolve into “shallow piles where stories may be stored.”
Griffin (born Kingston, Jamaica) has shown work across North America and the UK, and has published writing on drawing in journals including Drawing: Research, Theory, Practice and Leonardo (MIT Press). His recent book, Drawing Music, examines the structure of musical notation. He teaches at OCAD University, where he is Vice-Chair of the Research Ethics Board.

More Than Meets the I | Joseph Muscat
Joseph Muscat’s More Than Meets the I explores the uncertain boundaries of reality in an era of AI, deepfakes, and shifting perceptions. His paintings blend random imagery, symbolism, and intuitive mark-making, rooted in an automatiste approach. The recurring presence of a small cabin — a motif Muscat has used for over 40 years — evokes themes ranging from home and belonging to dislocation and conflict.
Muscat is an award-winning, internationally exhibited artist with works in public, corporate, and private collections. A long-time member (and former Chair) of Propeller Art Gallery, he has also been deeply involved in Toronto’s arts community through teaching, mentorship, and arts councils. He is represented by galleries in Toronto, California, Prince Edward County, and Seoul.

This two-artist exhibition runs November 12–30, 2025, with an Opening Reception on Saturday, November 15 (1–6 PM) and an Artist Talk on Sunday, November 30 (3 PM).
