Nothing But Blue Skies brings together new reductive linocuts, woodcut monoprints, and landscape-inspired works by Toronto artist Karen Klee-Atlin.
The exhibition runs November 12 – 30, 2025, with an Opening Reception on Saturday, November 15 (1–6 PM) and an Artist Talk on Sunday, November 30 (3 PM).
Klee-Atlin has lived and worked across Canada, the United States, Peru, the Philippines, and Mexico, teaching art at schools and universities while developing her own studio practice. Although she began as a painter, she found her artistic home in reductive printmaking, where each irreversible cut becomes part of the work’s rhythm, structure, and emotional tone.
In Nothing But Blue Skies, she reflects on the ever-changing colours of the sky and water, focusing on landscapes around Rabbit Lake in Northern Ontario, where her family has a cabin. This area has long served as a personal and artistic touchstone.
The exhibition also includes several pieces inspired by her love of Seattle, particularly the boats moored at the Center for Wooden Boats. Across these works, Klee-Atlin explores memory, place, and the universal act of looking upward—seeing both the familiar and the new each time.
Karen Klee-Atlin is a member of Shift Gallery (Seattle) and Propeller Art Gallery (Toronto).
