About the Festival:
Welcome to year six of Comedy Is Art, Toronto’s one-of-a-kind comedy festival that takes laughter seriously!
This year’s edition brings together over 20 comedians from across the GTA and beyond for three nights of shows, sketches, improv, and stand-up — plus a full-day symposium dedicated to inclusion and diversity in the comedy world.
From Andrew Phung & Friends to Nkasi Ogbonnah’s Afronaut, and crowd favourites like Hot Takes and Not Hamilton Improvised, every set brings its own unique energy and voice.
New this year, Bad Dog Theatre joins the festival with Our Cities On Our Stages — a full-day workshop, presentation, and dialogue on representation in comedy, culminating in a live improv showcase.
