Located at the corner of Manning Ave and Queen Street West, the Welcome to Toronto West Queen West mural is a colourful addition to the neighbourhood’s vibrant public art scene, brought to life through the vision and initiative of BeLeaf Plant Store and the artistic talent of local artist group OneDay Creative Agency (@onedaycreates).
Inspired by the nostalgic charm of vintage “Greetings From” postcards, this eye-catching mural celebrates Toronto’s character, diversity, and creative spirit, with a special nod to West Queen West’s place as the city’s art and design district.
A Vision Brought to Life by BeLeaf Plant Store
The Welcome to Toronto West Queen West mural began with a vision from BeLeaf Plant Store, a local business passionate about their neighbourhood & contributing to the character and creativity of West Queen West. By championing this project, BeLeaf helped transform an idea into a vibrant piece of public art that celebrates the city, the community, and is sure to attract visitors from all over to get a photo in front of this piece of art.
Bringing that vision to life is OneDay Creative Agency, adds another layer of homegrown talent to the neighbourhood’s streetscape. The collaboration between BeLeaf Plant Store and a local artist reflects what makes West Queen West so special: independent businesses, creative minds, and a shared commitment to making the neighbourhood an inspiring place to explore.
At its heart, the mural is about belonging and place: celebrating Toronto and West Queen West as one of its top must-visit neighbourhoods.
